On our trip to Fort Lauderdale, we came to dinner at 101 Ocean. Our waitress, Leah P, was very friendly. The food was good and the atmosphere was enjoyable. There was live music that was easy on the ears. Stopped by again for lunch and was served by Denzel R . He recommended the pizza and the cucumber watermelon refresher. Stopped into 101 Ocean expecting good food and a couple drinks. Left questioning whether I should write a review or a love letter to our bartender, Brooke. First, the mussels were absolutely chef’s kiss—perfectly cooked, ridiculously flavorful, and worth coming back for all by themselves. Second, Brooke was fantastic. Attentive, funny, knew the menu inside and out, and somehow managed to keep our drinks full while running the bar like a superhero. Also, she’s unfairly attractive, which frankly feels like an unnecessary flex on top of being great at her job. Food: amazing. Drinks: amazing. Service: Brooke-level amazing.
